It is rare that someone closing their bank account that's why on the internet there are not much information related to closing a saving or a current icici bank account so, i am writting this article and will explain you methods to close a saving or current icici bank account.

Follow the steps given to delete your saving account from hdfc?
1. De-link bank account:- Before opting for closure, De-link the bank account if it is being used as any registered account for any investment, loans, credit card payment, tradings,etc.
2. Fill the account closure form:- Visit the nearest branch of the hdfc bank and ask them for account closure form or you can also download it from their website.
Fill the details carefully in the account closure form and sign on it (note:- if a account has many holders then sign of every holders needed on form to processing the account closure application.)
3. Collect kyc documents:- Attach all the kyc documents with form for proof of address and identity verification of the account holder(s).
Kyc documents are the documents which you had submitted to the bank while account opening such as pancard, aadhar card, etc. The bank may ask for unused checkbook, passbook and cards to be deposited along with the form.
4. Funds:- Withdraw the remaining funds in cash form or you can transfer that amount in other bank accounts.
5. Account closure charge:- Bank doesn't charge for the closure of a account within 14days of opening and after 1 year of opening of the account but if the time duration of the opening of the account is less than 1 year or more than 14 days then it may be charged for account closure.
6. Final step:- Submit the form and all documents stated above with the form to bank manager.
