Step1. Open your gmail app and login with your email id and password.

Step2. Click on 'profile icon' available on the upper-right corner in your screen.

Step3. After that a pop-up will came, click on 'manage your google account' on that pop-up available in the below of your email id.

Step4. After clicking on 'manage your google account' you will land on google account page.

Step5. On the google account page you will see many options like home, personal info, data and personalisation,,,etc.

Click on data and personalisation.

Step6. On data and personalisation, scroll down and in the 'download, delete  or make a plan for your data' section you will see three options.

Click on 'delete a service or your account' option.

Note:- download your data(if you want to) before proceeding to the next step for deleting your Gmail account.

To download your data scroll down little on the 'delete a service or your account' page, there you will see an option name as 'download your data', click on that and you will land on a new page.

select the services of which you want to delete your data and then click on next and a new page will open where you would have to select the file type and frequency of data.

Then, click on create export, after some time they will sent you an email and you will have to download your data from that mail.

Step7. Then on next page click on ' delete a service'.

Step8. Enter your password.

Step9. After that you will land on a new page.
Click on the delete button of gmail.

Step10. After that you will asked to enter an alternate email address to continue to use the other google services connected to that account.
Note:- you cannot use gmail.com in an alternate email address, you can use yahoo.com or other email addresses.

Then, Click on send verification email.

Step11. On the alternate email that you would entered an verification e-mail will came, you have to verify that email by clicking on the link and after that your gmail account will be deleted within 2-3 days.

Step1. Open your browser and visit to mail.gmail.com and login with your account.

Step2. Click on 'profile' icon available on the upper-right corner in your screen.

Step3. Now, click on 'manage your google account'.
